Volodymyr Savchuk is a Professor of Finance and Risk Management for MBA programs at the International Institute of Business in Ukraine. He earned his bachelor's, master's, and PhD degrees from Dnepropetrovsk State University, Ukraine. Additionally, he obtained a Doctor of Sciences degree (equivalent to a habilitation) in Probability Theory and Risk Analysis from the Institute of Operational Research in Moscow.
Prof. Savchuk has worked as a Full Professor at Dnepropetrovsk State University and State Metallurgical University in Ukraine. From 1994 to 2001, he had multiple short-term contracts with the World Bank Institute, where he lectured on decision intelligence in economies undergoing transition. He also served as a principal lecturer for the long-term program on Enterprise Restructuring at the Joint Vienna Institute (JVI) and MBA programs at Kyiv Mohyla Business School.
Prof. Savchuk is the author of numerous books devoted to Strategic, Financial and Risk Management. He has been invited to lecture in several countries, such as Austria, Belorussia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kirgizstan, Armenia, and the People’s Republic of China.
Dr. Savchuk is the co-founder and owner of the group of consulting companies “Strategic Partner”. He served as an advisor and consultant on more than 150 Ukrainian enterprises. He has held over 500 corporate and open training programs for Ukrainian managers and supervisors. Besides, from 2017 to 2020, he served as a Chair of the Supervisory Board of the Group of Companies “Nova Poshta”.
Since August 2022, Prof. Savchuk has been conducting research and delivering lectures at the Economic Department of Royal Holloway University of London.
