1993 |
International Institute of Business (International Centre for Privatization, Investment and Management, ICPIM) is founded in accordance with the Decree of Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers as a non-profit, independent training and educational institution by Ukrainian Academy of Public Administration office the President and Central European University Foundation. The goal was to establish a Ukrainian educational institution which would facilitate economic reform in Ukraine through provision of educational services in the field of business management. Dr. Henryk Sterniczuk, International Programmes Director of the University of New Brunswick was the first President of IIB. Since its foundation IIB has trained more than 45000 qualified professionals: managers, securities brokers/dealers, investment managers, custodians/registrars, property and business appraisers, actuaries, insolvency managers, and others. |
1996 |
IIB becomes a higher educational institution according to Ukrainian legislation offering its innovative post-graduate (second higher education degree with government-regulated diploma of ’specialist’ level) Ukrainian Program of Business Administration (UPBA) with majors in Marketing and Finance. Since its opening more than 500 students of 9 cohorts have graduated from IIB. In 2006 64 students of 11th cohort of UPBA students started their course of study. |
1997 |
IIB starts to develop its international professional qualifications portfolio becoming the first educational institution in Central and Eastern Europe accredited as CIM (The Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK) study centre. |
1998 |
IIB launches Canadian Business Management Diploma Program of MacEwan Business School (Grant MacEwan College, Edmonton, Alberta), which was prepared according to the intergovernmental cooperation program financed by Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). |
1999 |
Ukrainian Program of Business Administration gets national accreditation by the Ministry of Education of Ukraine as a post-graduate higher education degree program. |

In 1999 ICPIM is renamed into International Institute of Business (IIB) together with changes of institution’s governance structure and setting the main strategic goal to develop a foremost Ukrainian graduate school of business, national leader in executive education, offering a full range of educational products for Ukrainian business. |
2000 |
IIB starts nation-wide projects "Competitiveness-2000" and "Director of the Third Millenium" for top-level managers of leading privatized Ukrainian enterprises. The projects were coordinated by the State Property Fund of Ukraine and financed by the World Bank. More than 2000 managers of 400 largest Ukrainian enterprises were trained during 3 subsequent years in line of these projects. |
2001 |
IIB becomes the only provider of REFA International programmes (Germany). |
2001 |
IIB starts its Executive MBA Program for top-managers and managing owners of growing Ukrainian companies. |
2002 |
IIB becomes an associate member of the European Foundation for Management Development (efmd). |
2003 |
IIB becomes a CIMA (The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK) registered course provider and accredited computer based assessment (CBA) centre. |
2003 |
IIB is a founding member of Ukrainian Association for Management and Business Education. |
2004 |
IIB becomes the first in Continental Europe accredited study centre of CIPR (the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, UK). |
2004 |
IIB EMBA program is rated #1 Ukrainian MBA program by the first independent rating published by Kyiv Post daily. |
2005 |
In cooperation with the oldest English-speaking Canadian university – University of New Brunswick (UNB) - IIB introduces its International MBA, the first in CIS program with North American Master of Business Administration degree. |

IIB becomes a member of the Central and East European Management Development Association (CEEMAN) |
2007 |
MBA provision at IIB has been accredited by Association of MBAs (UK) IIB became the first business school in Ukraine whose MBA programs were recognized internationally |
2008 |
IIB has established the Centre for Real Estate Development with the purpose to design and deliver an educational programs for the professionals working in the area of real estate market. IIB has joint the global initiative" Principles of Responsible Management Education" (PRME). |
2009 |
International Institute of Business is the Business School № 1 International Institute of Business took part in a survey, provided by EDUNIVERSAL and was recognized as Business School № 1 for credibility in the market of business education in Ukraine and international influence. The purpose of the survey is to provide objective information about international influence of universities with different levels of international ambitions and influence, which allows choosing the best opportunities for students in each of 9 geographical zones. The Center of Corporate Social Responsibility has been established at IIB. |
2010 |
New agreement on MBA cooperation with University of New Brunswick was signed. The 15th enrolment in Ukrainian Program of Business Administration took place. The 10th enrolment in the EMBA Program took place. The International Institute of Business has been recognized the best business-school in Ukraine again, and received the rank "Excellent business school 2010" Re-accreditation of IIB’s second higher education degree program, with Marketing and Finances specializations, by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. |
2011 |
According to the decision of State Accreditation Commission of Ukraine, IIB got the status of higher education institution of 3rd level of accreditation. |
2012 |
Confirmation of accreditation of IIB’s MBA programs by the Association of MBA (UK). |
2013 |
Launch of the new “Master of Business Administration” program |
2014 |
International Institute of Business launches the International MBA program together with one of the leading business schools of France Aix-Marseilles Graduate School of Management. |

Confirmation of AMBA accreditation (Association of MBAs, London, UK) of all MBA programs |

General MBA program is accredited by ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) |

IIB launched a new business program - BeezzCraft - a creative business club for teens (14-19 years), aimed at the development of business thinking, the formation of business skills and career guidance of teenagers. |

International Institute of Business launches the International MBA program together with one of the leading business schools of Austria - MCI (Management Center Innsbruck) |
