January, 30, 2012 Svitlana Kozachenko, Corporate Social Responsibility and Business Ethics Center’s Coordinator, and Inna Kasabova, lecturer and researcher, took part in Winter Institute of UAMDBE-2012 "Corporate Social Responsibility of Business and Education: Experience and Problems of Development", which was held from January, 23 to January, 28, 2012, in National University of Water Management and Nature Resources (Rivne) with support of Global Compact Network Ukraine, "D. TEK", "Ernst&Young", "Kyivstar", "Obolon", "SKM", Centre "Corporate Social Responsibility Development".

Winter Institute program included a number of priority and vital issues of corporate social responsibility and business ethics, CSR institutional support, social audit, last trends in social entrepreneurship, corporate volunteering in the world and our country in particular. The program presented cases and social reports of such leading domestic companies as "Kyivstar", "Obolon", "Ernst & Young", "SCM", "DTEK", "Metinvest" etc.

Areas of coaching technologies in teaching discipline "CSR", competitive advantages due to CSR implementation, CSR development priorities and prospects of social entrepreneurship in Ukraine, practical experience from such well-known companies as "Auchan Hypermarket Ukraine", "Platinum Bank", "Comfy Trade ", "Turboatom", "Industrialbank", "Foxtrot", "Amway", "Alfa-Bank", "MTS Ukraine" - these and other vital issues in CSR problem were presented and discussed during Winter Institute UAMDBE-2012.

The members of the Winter Institute had received a new theoretical, methodological and applied knowledge of current issues of CSR in education and practice of business in Ukraine, vectors of experience implementation in the national education system and economy.

It was valuable for CSR and business ethics Center knowledge of the practice of international CSR standards, foreign policy in relation to CSR particularities in EU and the world.

Natalia Zagorniak, content leader of Centre of Corporate Social Responsibility and Business Ethics, Associate Professor of International Institute of Business together with team of trainers conducted training program "Assistance for Social Entrepreneurship in Ukraine". The program was organized by Anti-Crisis Humanitarian Program of the International Renaissance Foundation accompanied with the British Council Ukraine, East Europe Foundation, "PricewaterhouseCoopers" in Ukraine, Erste Bank. The training was opened by Mr. Leigh Turner, the British Ambassador to Ukraine, Mr. Victor Liakh, President of East Europe Foundation and others. 65 representatives of non-governmental organizations and charity foundations have got the training.

Natalia Zagornyak, Associate Professor of Business Administration Department, Content Leader of the Center of Corporate Social Responsibility and Business Ethics at IIB, had successfully passed the competitive selection procedure and took part in training for trainers of the project "Assistance to Social Entrepreneurship" , which was held under British Council umbrella in Kyiv from October, 31 to November, 4, 2011.

"Assistance to Social Entrepreneurship" is a new project of British Council in Ukraine and others countries of the world. Its primary goal is a dissemination of social entrepreneurship ideas in Ukrainian society, as well as providing legal, financial and consulting assistance to social entrepreneurs willing to start the own business.

Project "Assistance to Social Entrepreneurship" in Ukraine is implemented by British Council in Ukraine, Eastern European Fund, Pricewaterhouse Coopers in Ukraine, Erste Bank, International Renaissance Foundation, with the support of Erste Stiftung and Ukrainian Fund of Entrepreneurship Support. This project focuses on realization of an international program for training and experience exchange involving the local communities and institutions in United Kingdom and their potential partners in Ukraine. It will promote the development of partnership relations between State, corporate and public sectors. This project will create platform for cooperation, education and experience exchange.

The project of the document "The National Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy Concept in Ukraine" ("Концепція національної стратегії соціальної відповідальності бізнесу (СВБ) в Україні") was created by the Advisory Council for National Concept for CSR Strategy for Ukraine development.

The realization of the main tasks of the National CSR Concept should be completed by 2015.

IIB-Ukraine took a significant part in the Advisory Council for National Concept for CSR Strategy.

Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility Development under support of INTERPIPE had presented first in Ukraine complex corporate social responsibility book "Corporate social responsibility: models and management practice" that is designed for students and professors, CSR specialists, scholars.

Uniqueness of the presented book is that the researches of the Centre for CSR Development are generalized as practices of the companies (gained from the CSR business case contest, organized by the Centre) and best CSR scientific achievements of European and American scholars are given in the book. Theory of social responsibility in the book "Corporate social responsibility: models and management practice" is closely related to practice, so the book would be helpful for economist students and CSR managers.
