В рамках социального проекта поддержки детского творчества, в аудиториях Международного института бизнеса организована экспозиция лучших работ юных студентов Киевской детской академии искусств.

МИБ принял активное участие в проекте, чтобы привлечь внимание общества к детскому творчеству. Мы считаем, что не можем оставить без внимания юные таланты, и потому хотим способствовать их развитию.

В сентябре 2013 в Словении запланировано проведение 5-й Ассамблеи и Ежегодного саммита PRME-2013. Мероприятия саммита PRME-2013 будут посвящены обсуждению таких ключевых аспектов деятельности  PRME как Вдохновение, Реализация, Инновации, Влияние. PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education) - международная инициатива, которая помогает научным учреждениям развивать и распространять принципы устойчивого развития и социальной ответственности.

Svitlana Grygorovych, Content-leader of the IIB CSR Centre, made a presentation on the  International CIS bakery industry forum, which took place on 30-31 October 2012 in Lviv.
The presentation was devoted to the benefits of conducting the social responsible business model in the food industry and the importance of baking industry participation in the events aimed at prevention of iodine deficiency. For many participants the theme of corporate social responsibility was new and aroused great interest. Members supported the idea that the use of iodized salt in bread making can become a shining example of social responsibility and it can significantly help in solving the problem of iodine deficiency in Ukraine. During the presentation, Svitlana Grygorovych also reported the results of the study "Business Social Responsibility", which was held by the IIB CSR Centre team in 2012.

Ms Anna Chumak, researcher of the Center of Social Responsibility and Business Ethics of the International Institute of Business, instructor of the Chair of Social Studies, participated into the studies at the program of UAMDBE’s Summer Institute.

During the study process the instructors had the possibility to get acquaintance with the general patterns of relationship of business and society, principles of their usage in organization management, to form the basic knowledge about the theory and practice of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Due to the participation of the representatives of the leading Ukrainian business companies – SCM, DTEK, KyivStar, MTS, Obolon and others - in this program, the participants had the possibilities to look through the cases in CSR sphere. The cases provided by these companies will be incorporated into the MBA, UPBA programs and will permit to introduce the best SCR-practices to the students.

The main items discussed:

• ISO 26 000 history and development process, Ukraine participation in the standard development

• ISO 26 000 specification, main principles and ideas of the corporate responsibility

• Corporate responsibility principles implementation stages due to the standard

• ISO 26 000 business influence and corporate responsibility program modeling

Seminar has become "communicative platform" on corporate responsibility principles discussing and corporate responsibility thesis implementation stages. Corporate responsibility questionnaire was given to seminar participants.

In the modern business environment when corporations more influence on the activity of all other economic actors CSR problems with its social and ecology targets become more urgent.

Thereby Alumni Association of IIB-Ukraine holds a round-table discussion on "How To Build Business on a Reliable Basis: Good Deeds Commercial Dimension" to be held May, 19 at: Kyiv, Brest-Litovskyi Highway, 8-A.

During the event the following questions will be discussed:

• CSR: compass for a new reality in the fight for market opportunities
• Investment in CSR as a way of increasing customer value
• Social initiative business or social initiative for business? Destroying stereotypes
• Business game "Ethical Dilemmas of Business"

April, 23 SCM Group presented a Program of social partnership and announced the starting of new Internet resource – the portal for Sustainable Development

The Group’s Program of social partnership combines initiatives to develop social infrastructure, business environment, and projects in education, health, ecology, energy, culture and sports.

In 2011 SKM invested about 100 million UAH in social partnership projects. The lion’s share of projects accounted for powerful industry holdings SCM Group, Metinvest and DTEK ss. 69,28 and 25,34 relatively.

In 2012 SCM Group plans to invest at least 170 million UAH in social partnership projects.
