The 10th of March 2010 the 6th generation of IIB International MBA program started the study. International MBA is a program, offered by the International Institute of Business together with the University of New Brunswick, Fredericton, Canada ( www.unb.ca) since 2005.

The official ceremony of program opening took place the 10th of March at IIB.

Vladimir Zabolotny, IIB President, addressed to the new students with welcome speech.

 

Alexander Mertens also greeted the students. Alexander Mertens, Ph.D., Associate Professor, President of IIB in 2006-2009, Professor of finance at IIB, is also a visiting professor of the University of New Brunswick (Fredericton, Canada) and of Leon Kozminsky Academy of Entrepreneurship (Warsaw, Poland). He told that the main task of the program was to bring the high standards of management to the organization. Then a company might get the resources which are necessary for its successful work. The study at the program will provide with the instruments which will permit to understand the trends existing in the world in conditions of globalization.

Mikhail Sorokin, Ph.D. in economics, Chief of the Financial Management Development Center at IIB, member of European Association of Financial Management (Oxford), visiting professor at MBA programs of the University of New Brunswick and of Leon Kozminsky Academy, also welcomed the new students. He pointed out the importance of new knowledge, as well as of the community that will be created by the students during next two years as an importance source of experience, practical skills and new business contacts.

Elena Marynovskaya, graduate of 4th cohort of the International MBA program and Head of Representative Office of the company "StoraEnso Ukraine", congratulated the students. She shared her personal experience with the colleagues, and, in particular, pointed out that the investment to the education paid its way during the first year of study and opened the new perspectives in business. She also recommended to pay the particular attention to the case study and to follow the principles of time management, in order to be successful in work and in study at the program.
