Volodymyr Zabolotny started to work in IIB when it was founded in 1993. He held the position of Vice-President of International Center of Privatization, Investment and Management which was later altered to International Institute of Business. Together with Henryk Sterniczuk and Bohdan Kravchenko, Volodymyr was the founder and ideologist of creation and development of this new organization. During 2000-2001 which was the period of IIB final transformation to a specialized higher education institution in the sphere of business education Volodymyr Zabolotny held the position of IIB President and ensured creation of new MBA programs and stable position of the Institute in the sphere of education in Ukraine.
In October 2009 on IIB works meeting Volodymyr Zabolotny presented his vision of the Institute development and its positioning on the market of education. Due to the experience in business, education, his contacts and reputation Volodymyr was elected by IIB team unanimously.
Volodymyr Zabolotny started his labor activity in 1982 as a faculty member of Statistics Department and later as a Deputy Dean of Accounting Department in Kyiv National Economic University. In 1991-1992 Volodymyr held position of Executive Director of International Institute of Market Relationships and Entrepreneurship – Center "Market". In 1993-2000 he worked in IIB. Volodymyr Zabolotny has considerable practical experience of work as a top manager in different companies and projects. In 2004-2007 he held position of Vice-President in strategy and development, Concern "Simex-Holding" (tourism-recreational, sales, agro-industrial and construction businesses). For the last years Volodymyr worked on managerial positions in JSC "Atoll Holding": Manager of Business Development Projects, General Director of "Atoll Holding Center for Research & Education" Ltd (consulting and educational support to production and service management in auto construction), General Director of JSC "Autotrading Invest" (investment-constructional and exploitation activity). In 2003-2005 Volodymyr Zabolotny was the Head of MBA development Committee of Ukrainian Association for Management Development and Business Education, in 2003-2009 he held position of the President of Ukrainian Management Foundation, Volodymyr is a present Member of Public Advisory Council of State Property Fund.
The authorship of more than 60 different editions, articles and publications, participation in international and domestic scientific-practical conferences, preparation of new textbooks, formation of MBA standards for Ukraine, etc should be emphasized among scientific achievements of Volodymyr Zabolotny. Volodymyr has significant experience of teaching in IIB since 1993 (he held courses International Business and Strategic Management for MBA and Canadian Business Administration program students). Volodymyr Zabolotny is a Candidate of economic science, he studied on many different academic programs, advanced trainings in USA (Minnesota University, CEUME, Center of Creative Leadership, North Indiana University, Foundation for Enterprise Development /Corporate Directors Institute), Canada (Richard Ivey Western Business School, Grant MacEwan University, New Brunswick University), Great Britain (Chartered Institute of Marketing, North-London University), Ireland (Irish Institute of Management), France (INSEAD), Germany (BBW, Management Academy of Lower Saxony, Dresden Technical University), Switzerland (IMD), etc.
