Education and work in Canada is an outlook for graduating students under IIB Canadian Degree Management Program

Home/News IIB/Education and work in Canada is an outlook for graduating students under IIB Canadian Degree Management Program

From June 18 to 21 David McLeod, the Director International Education and Juriy Konkin, the Head of cooperation projects in Eastern Europe from Grant MacEwan College (Canada) arrived to the International Institute of Business for a working visit to discuss issues of further cooperation of two business schools.

On the 19 of June David McLeod met with students and graduates under IIB Canadian Degree Management Program that had been arranged jointly with Grant MacEwan College. Mister McLeod spoke about opportunities occurring for the program graduates.

In the first place, it is a possibility to continue education either in Grant MacEwan College (Edmonton, province Alberta) or in any other institute of higher education in Canada.

Edmonton is a capital of province Alberta with population of more than one million people, the city is among five "most intelligent" cities of Canada. The province is one of the most fast developing in Canada and it is the only one with annual budget surplus of about $ 7 – 10 billion. The principle of Long Life Learning is supported and developed in Canada, so the most significant part of budgetary funds is allocated for grants and scientific researches.

For those wishing to acquire practical knowledge, David McLeod cited an interesting statistics: 85% of province Alberta employers give preference to graduates of the Grant MacEwan College in accordance with investigations and that indicates the high level of students training. Average wages of the College graduate constitute $ 45 800 per year. The lack of qualified personnel in various areas of economics significantly raises chances to find a promising and well-paid job.

Juriy Konkin uttered a piece of news being also important and pleasant: a law has been passed in Canada recently, permitting to work not by their profession for foreign students and graduates.

No wonder, that students and graduates touched upon procedural aspects of education and work in Canada in their questions after the presentation.

We would remind you that admission to the Canadian Management Program continues. Please visithttp://iib.com.ua/default.asp?cid=424 to learn more about the program.
