Alexander Mertens, the President of the International Institute of Business will act as a moderator of the round table "Investing under conditions of crisis on financial markets" which will take place on April 3, 2008 in the Hayatt Regency Kyiv hotel.

The report of leading European expert in the developing markets economics area, professor of the Paris School of Economics Jaques Sapir will be introduced during the round table program. J. Sapir believes in the fact and supports it with practical investigations that Eastern Europe becomes the new pole of economic growth, and that several countries including Ukraine have a chance to step out of the world’s financial crisis without losses.

 

The Prime Minister of Ukraine Victor Pinzenik, the Head of the Supervisory Board of NBU (National Bank of Ukraine) Pyotr Poroshenko, academician Valery Geets, senior Permanent representative of the IMF (International Monetary Fund) in Ukraine Balazh Croat, and famous economists, businessmen, statesmen and experts from Ukraine, Russia, France and Germany will take part in the work of the round table.

Issues of financial crisis overcoming, effect of this crisis on Ukrainian financial market, financial strategies for banks and governments are to be discussed during round table operation and also prognoses and experts’ practical advices are to be introduced.
