On March 5 – 7 2008 Ekaterina Novotarskaya, programs manager of the International Institute of Business, took part in the Program Management Seminar.

Central and East European Management Development Association (CEEMAN) acted as the seminar’s organizer. The seminar took its place in the CEEMAN headquarters, in the city of Bled, Slovenia.

 

The issues covering program manager’s complex role, mastering effective instruments of work organization in conditions of increasing clients’ demands, developing members’ managing skills and other issues were examined during the seminar.

The seminar’s program included speeches of experts – experienced practitioners representing business schools of Canada, Netherlands, Great Britain and Slovenia. Group discussions were organized and cases covering problems that program managers face most often were examined.

37 program managers from 25 business-schools of Belgium, Hungary, Great Britain, Germany, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Sweden and other European countries took part in the seminar.

"Don Nightingale’s (Queen’s School of Business, Canada) speech covering issues of command creating had increased interest among seminar members. It would be positive to indicate lection of the Rotterdam School of Management representatives, sharing their experience in area of graduates association creating. Seminar participants have shared their experience and best practices; taking part in such events allows to estimate the level of our work and encourages adoption of new approaches on effective program manager work organization", – says Ekaterina Novotarskaya.
