On February 28 Alexander Mertens, the President of the International Institute of Business, spoke at the presentation of season of the Global Management Challenge 2008 that took its place in the conference hall of "Incom" corporation.

In his speech he indicated the necessity of such events conducting with an objective of increasing both individual performance and teamwork.

The issues of innovation technologies of HR area and original approaches to personnel education and development were also examined during this discussion.

This interesting meeting gathered more than 160 professionals in the area of human talents management, marketing directors and chief executive officers.

The Global Management Challenge competition is a program on development and education of management talents. Learning of skills of effective performance of general manager’s duties is held under conditions of hard competitiveness and time limits. The basis of competition is a computer strategic management business simulation that reflects financial model of business activity of manufacturing company having international scale. In the last year, 256 teams representing domestic and foreign companies took part in competition in Ukraine. Participation of more than 300 teams is planned in 2008.
