The exciting May for Executive MBA students

Home/News IIB/The exciting May for Executive MBA students

The traditional international module of Executive MBA program was held at the beginning of May in one of the biggest financial centers of the world- Zurich. In the frames of this module, organized by IIB jointly with its partner Swiss Business School, students studied such courses as International Financial Management and Venture Capital and Private Equity.

During intense two weeks students had a possibility not only theoretically, but also practically study the mechanisms of financial statements work and large international companies’ practice. Executive MBA students had the meetings with managers of such companies as Philip Morris and Tissot. Students had an opportunity to learn how the companies manage to operate in the crisis period, to look behind the "Zurich airport scenes" and to observe the best operational management and project management practice.

Although the program was very exciting and saturated, students still had some time to get acquainted with local cultural traditions and history, to visit magnificent town Lucern and famous Rein waterfalls. They did not miss the chance watching the world championship in hockey, lamenting for their favorite commands.

The first year Executive MBA students spent a week in Turkey where regular study module took place during May 18-24. Such learning approach provides students with a unique opportunity to combine studies, social, cultural activity and communication out of the classroom. Two important courses – Organizational Behavior, taught by Professor V. Beloshapka and Management Accounting by Professor V. Savchuk were held very actively – case discussion lasted until midnight. But still during the break students found time for swimming, and in the evening – for playing volleyball.
