This day the 9th graduation ceremony of the Executive MBA program for leaders and managing owners of Ukrainian and international companies took place at IIB.
The ceremony was opened by processing of graduands and professors of IIB-Ukraine, accompanying by student anthem "Gaudeamus".
Olga Karpova, IIB’s Vice-President on Academic Programs, welcomed the graduates, guests, faculty and staff, namely, Vladimir Savchuk, Professor of Strategy and Finance, Natalia Pisarenko, Professor of Marketing, Ludmila Batenko, Professor of Operation Management.
In modern fast changing world where the process of globalization became a standard, the role of cross cultural relations becomes essential towards highly effective international business.
On June 21-24, 2011, the International MBA regular study module took place during which students studied the course "Building the trust in Cross-Cultural Communications". The distinguish feature of the module was: the students of IIB International MBA program and students of MBA program from the University of Alaska SouthEast, USA, and ALBA graduate business school, Greece, gathered in one classroom to study "cross-cultural communications".
IIB Center for CSR and Business Ethics researcher, lecturer in Social Sciences, Anna Chumak, participated in the study at the Summer Institute UADBE.
In the process of training teachers had the opportunity to meet with the general rules of interaction between business and society, the basics of their use in the management of organizations, to form a basic knowledge on theory and practice of corporate social responsibility (CSR). Through participation in the program representatives of leading Ukrainian business companies – SCM, DTEK, Kyivstar, MTS, Obolon etc, participants became acquainted with CSR cases. The proposed case studies will be included in the IIB program courses MBA, UPBA and will introduce the audience the experience of the best CSR practices.
During the period from 4th to 18th of June 2011 the group of students and instructors of International MBA program visited ALBA Business School (Athens, Greece), in accordance with existing agreement on the teachers and students exchange between IIB-Ukraine and ALBA Business School. The program of visit was especially arranged in a way that the Ukrainian students had the possibility not only to compare the level of education and its relevance, but also to get the new knowledge, attending the courses taught by well known professors. They became the participants of annual "Business Executive breakfast" and attended the international seminar on risk management.

On June 18 in the International institute of business students of CIPR Advanced Certificate and Diploma levels had an opportunity to visit a master class "Building Reputation through Financial Communications and Investor Relations" delivered by Myron Wasylyk, one of the most well-known experts in area of communications, tutor of the CIPR programs, senior vice-president The PBN Company. The special attention of the master class was paid to that many companies are raising money abroad and are publicly traded that’s why it’s really important to build the right relationships with investors for this you have to follow 7 key rules. During the master class were discussed questions of building the financial calendar, the Initial public offering, the corporate reputation management and its influence on investment attractiveness. Also the students had an opportunity to take a look at cases developed by The PBN Company.
The topic of the master class was relevant not only for students working in investment companies, such as Concorde Capital, but also for the students working in other spheres of
business.
